Imam Ammaar • imam.ammaar@darulihsaanbarking.org.uk Age Range 4 - 15 years Schedule Mon-Thu 5-7pm • Sun 10am-2pm Monthly Fee £45/monthWhat age groups do you cater for?
Our Madrasah programme is designed for children and young people from 4 years old through to 15 years of age. We structure our classes to ensure age-appropriate learning at every stage of development, with dedicated teachers for each age group.
What times does the Madrasah operate?
Classes run Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing two hours of Islamic education on weekday evenings. Additionally, we operate on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering four hours of comprehensive learning. This schedule allows students to attend after their mainstream school day during the week, with extended Sunday sessions for deeper study.
What subjects are taught?
Our comprehensive curriculum covers the essential foundations of Islamic knowledge:
- Qur'anic Studies – Reading, recitation, and memorisation with proper Tajweed
- Arabic Language – Reading, writing, and comprehension
- Islamic Studies – Faith, worship, and Islamic character
- Aqeedah – Islamic beliefs and theology
How much does it cost?
The monthly fee for attending our Madrasah is £45 per month. This covers all teaching materials, resources, and access to our experienced educators throughout the month.
How do I register my child?
Registration can be completed in person at the Masjid during Madrasah hours or after any daily prayers. Complete a registration form with your child's details and emergency contact information. Our team will guide you through the process.
What is your approach to discipline?
We maintain a structured and respectful learning environment where Islamic manners and good character are emphasised alongside academic learning. Teachers use positive reinforcement whilst setting clear boundaries. We work closely with parents to ensure consistency between home and Madrasah.
Are there any breaks or holidays?
The Madrasah generally follows the local school holiday calendar, including half-term breaks and summer holidays. We also close for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Specific dates are communicated to parents well in advance.
Do you provide Hifz classes?
Yes, we offer dedicated Hifz programmes for students who wish to memorise the Holy Qur'an. Students showing commitment and ability receive specialised instruction with regular revision schedules. Our experienced Huffaadh work individually to ensure proper memorisation, understanding, retention, Tajweed, and pronunciation.
