A house of excellence in the heart of Barking.
Since December 2021, under new management, Darul Ihsaan has grown into a thriving masjid and community centre: a place for worship, learning, and belonging for over twenty-six nationalities.
From a fresh start to a flourishing community
When new management took the helm in December 2021, the vision was simple: revive the masjid as a living centre of faith and community. In a short time, that vision became a thriving madrasah for our children, regular classes for adults and young people, and dedicated programmes for our sisters and mothers.
Located a five-minute walk from Barking station, we sit at the crossroads of one of London’s most diverse communities, and we embrace it, delivering programmes in multiple languages so everyone feels at home.
Advise · Revive · Invite
Three principles shape everything we do at Darul Ihsaan.
Spiritual revival
Classes, workshops, and programmes for youth and families that nurture spiritual growth and a deeper connection to faith.
Mutual counsel
A culture of support and care: social events, community service, and counselling for the spiritual and emotional needs of all.
Outreach
Building bridges of understanding, promoting dialogue, and showcasing the values of Islam and its contribution to society.
We are proud of the diversity within the Ummah, and we are committed to serving every part of our community.
Come and see for yourself
Whether for prayer, a class, to volunteer, or simply to say salām, you’re always welcome at Darul Ihsaan Barking.
